Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced and ultra-talented Videographer/Director of Photography to support the IL MAKIAGE Growth Marketing team for a 2-3 month contract opportunity. As part of our performance-driven team, dedicated to crafting impactful content for paid social ads, you’ll assist the camera team with day-to-day video production needs during our peak creative season.

Responsibilities…

• Support development and execution of creative concepts for the IL MAKIAGE brand across performance marketing channels (Tiktok, Meta, etc)
• Prepare equipment lists & technical/lighting plans to achieve each project’s unique visual goals
• Play a key role in conceptualizing and refining creative direction for shot lists, ensuring new assets are compelling enough to drive results
• Help establish a more cohesive and aspirational visual identity for the IL MAKIAGE brand across performance marketing channels
• Set up and oversee all video equipment on-set, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear
• Utilize Cinema cameras, mirrorless camera systems/DSLR, and iPhone
• Conduct technical test shoots when necessary to achieve more experimental visual needs
• Scout locations to assess technical/equipment, crew, and set requirements
• Collaborate closely with producers and marketing team to align vision and execution
• Identify opportunities to streamline production workflows and processes based on industry best practices
• Act as an “expert consultant” to enhance, professionalize, and streamline in-house production capabilities
• Provide innovative solutions to overcome unforeseen challenges to achieve specific visual direction
• Oversee footage transfers to ensure proper backup procedures are followed
• Color grading experience is a plus

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional shooting experience, ideally in commercial (beauty, fashion) or social media content
• Strong knowledge of professional camera and lighting equipment, demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing videography skills and previous work
• Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency
• Strong team player with exceptional creative collaboration skills
• Experience in beauty/skincare is a major plus
• Experience with Tiktok and 9x16 format content is a major plus
