Job Description

As an Application Engineer, you will work with your team to make a positive impact across the organization. You are a full stack developer with technical depth in various modern technologies and tools. You will develop software solutions with quality and at scale, while focusing on solving complex problems and delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Creates solutions addressing high impact technology and business priorities.
• Competent in multiple contexts, including programming languages, security, automation, testing, and business domains.
• Researches new technological opportunities to enhance technical capabilities.
• Drives strategic technology decisions through collaboration with experts internally and externally.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Cloud Technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining APIs, containerized applications/services, and IaaS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkin, Git/GitHub, or Gitlab.
• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.
• Passionate about software engineering practices.
• Programming language experience in Python. Ability to work with multiple languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, organization, and time management skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with OpenShift Container Platform.
• Experience with contract testing using Pact and/or setting up Pact Broker.
• Experience with Golang.
• Full stack web application development experience using React and Node.js.
• Knowledge of risk management.
